Kathy L. Pavlis Klitzke, 68 of Centra City passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Kathy Lee was born on November 28, 1956, at O'Neill, Nebraska to Rainold and Norma (Peterson) Pavlis. She was raised on the family ranch in northern Wheeler County and graduated from Wheeler Center High School in 1977.

Kathy had a love for the ranch. She worked alongside her dad in the hay fields while singing hymns with her mother. She also worked at Mildred's Ranch Café in Bartlett. Kathy resided in various Nebraska communities and spent her final years at The Oaks in Central City.

She enjoyed watching the animal planet and reading books.

Survivors include her son, Bryan Klitzke of Papillion; her sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Marjil Hood of Burwell; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; and a brother, Bob Peterson.

Ms. Klitzke's wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Still Waters Funeral Parlor in Burwell, Nebraska. Pastor Alan Petersen will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Cottonwood Cemetery at Burwell, Nebraska.
