Obituary


Larry L. Bigley, husband, father and grandpa passed away on June 6, 2025, at the age of 77.

Larry was born August 7, 1947, in Norfolk, Nebraska, the son of Kenneth Bigley and Rozella Cheney.
Larry graduated from Central Catholic, class of 1966. Following graduation, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. During his service, he received the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Following the service, he worked at New Holland in Grand Island for 31 years.

Larry and Irene Pieko were married in 1971. The couple had four children, Kenneth, Wendy, Russell, and Dawn. Both remarried at a later time. Larry shared 35 years with his loving, devoted spouse, Sue Christensen.

He enjoyed raising his chickens, gardening, grilling, and building his dream home on their acreage of land overlooking a lake. Larry enjoyed chatting with people and left a lasting impression on those that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Sue; his sisters, Barbara, Linda, and Mary; his children, Ken, Wendy, Russ, and Dawn; and grandchildren, Kenna, Kaden, Devin, Lyndon, Sam, Brandon, Emily, Gracie, Cole, Connor, Abby, Julia, and AJ.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Frankie.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
