Patricia A. Peters, of rural Taylor, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the age of 84.

Patricia was born on February 4, 1942, in Taylor, Nebraska, to Jack and Anna Kraus. She was raised in Loup County and graduated from Taylor High School.

On June 24, 1961, Patricia was united in marriage to Larry B. Peters in Taylor, Nebraska. Together, they were blessed with three children, Sheila, Jon, and Sally Jo.

Following their marriage, Patricia devoted herself to being a loving wife and mother. In October 1962, Patricia and Larry moved to the Don Hanna Ranch near Brownlee, Nebraska, where they lived for five years. They then moved to the Circle A Ranch, where Larry worked for Tim Wake. After a year, the family returned to the Don Hanna Ranch at Brownlee, where they made their home for the next 25 years. In 1986, the family moved to Madisonville, Texas, where they lived for five years before returning home to Nebraska.

Patricia enjoyed painting and baking and had a lifelong love for horses, especially raising and buying them. More than anything, she loved being involved in the lives of her family and following them wherever their endeavors took them. As the years went on, some of her greatest joy came from watching and supporting her children and granddaughters at rodeos, roping's, barrel races, school activities, and ballgames. She was always proud to be there, cheering them on and sharing in the moments that mattered most.

Pat will be remembered as a strong-willed, devoted, and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was dependable and always willing to lend a helping hand. Her love for her family was evident throughout her life, and the memories she created with them will be treasured for generations to come.

Patricia is survived by her three children and their families, Sheila Peters and Mike Yantzie of Taylor; granddaughter Lacey and Eric Vanis and their five children of Elgin; Jon and Maxine Peters and their family of Brewster; and Sally Peters and granddaughter, Gracey Jo Rodocker Peters of Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Peters; her parents, Jack and Anna Kraus; her brothers, Ken, Orvillel, and Jack; her sister, Norma; and her parents-in-law, Gordon and Frankie Peters.

Patricia’s life was centered around family, horses, and the Nebraska Sandhills she called home. Her strength, generosity, and steadfast love for those around her will continue to live on through the family she loved so dearly.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the Loup County Event Center in Taylor, Nebraska. Ben Eickhoff will officiate. Interment will be in the Kent Cemetery in Loup County, Nebraska.
